In August of 2018, Kevin was promoted again to our Chief Academic Officer of the district. As director, Kevin served as the district assessment coordinator, worked with new and experienced supervisors to enrich curriculum, instruction, and assessment, managed the federal title funds for the district, and provided resources and professional development to assist teachers and administrators in increasing student achievement. Kevin was then promoted to Director of Curriculum and Instruction in January of 2018. During his time as a supervisor, he started our Academies of Engineering and Biomedical Sciences, enhanced the Spartan School of Business, began the articulation partnership with Rowan College of Gloucester County, aligned curriculum and assessments to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, and helped teachers and students grow academically. In 2012, Kevin was promoted to Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction. ![]() Kevin also coached on the high school baseball team for 6 years and advised the National Junior Honor Society at the middle school for 4 years. ![]() The following year, he was hired as a mathematics teacher at the middle school where he taught 8th grade mathematics and Algebra I for 5 years. Kevin’s first year was as a long-term substitute for science at the middle and high schools. Kevin has been serving Deptford Townships Schools since September of 2006.
